“The Art of
Skydiving”

As an art school grad, I’ve always had this idea to create art work while flying. When I would jump early in the morning and land on the dew covered grass, I would leave unique markings and patterns across the ground while sliding my feet, performing freestyle swoop maneuvers, like the blindman, ghostwriters, and miracle men.

Although painting in freefall has been done before many times, it’s not very practical. When I committed to attempt creating skydive art, I decided to focus on painting during my landings as swooping with the various swooping maneuvers I’ve invented and perfected over the years.

4’x8’ Acrylic on plywood painting created over multiple parachute landings. I don’t think I had so much fun with paint since Graduating The School of Visual Arts NYC in 1998. Initially sold through private auction, custom orders available.
